Celebrated 10-year anniversary in 2023
We are a non-profit, non-government, religiously, and politically independent local organization.
Learning for Life - S.R.C. was born in 2013 as a local NGO in Sri Lanka.
The Organization was established and incorporated under ‘Section 34 of the Companies Act, No.07 of 2007’ in 2013 and operates as a registered not-for-profit organization in Sri Lanka. Since its establishment, the LFL-SRC has operated as an independent local organization that promotes "Children's Rights" and "Child Rights Programming". During the last 10+ years, we facilitated more than 25,000 vulnerable children and families directly and indirectly, especially from marginalized backgrounds under our variety of programmes implemented in collaboration with other stakeholders.
The abbreviation ‘S.R.C.’ stands for ‘Supporting the Rights of the Child; which is the primary work frame for us as a ‘child-centred’ and ‘child-focused’, community development organization based on ‘Principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)’.
The LFL-SRC is governed by a local "Board of Directors" including well known professionals in Sri Lanka. The "Board" is also called the "Executive Council" of the organization and the members serve for the board voluntary.
