Learning for Life - S.R.C. was born in 2013 as a local NGO in Sri Lanka.
The Organization was established and incorporated under ‘Section 34 of the Companies Act, No.07 of 2007’ in 2013 and operates as a registered not-for-profit organization in Sri Lanka. Since its establishment, the LFL-SRC has operated as an independent local organization that promotes "Children's Rights" and "Child Rights Programming".
The abbreviation ‘S.R.C.’ stands for ‘Supporting the Rights of the Child; which is the primary work frame as a ‘child centered’ and ‘child-focused’, community development organization based on ‘Principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)’.

The organization was formed as a local (Sri Lankan) non-profit organization by a Sri Lankan person and two Swedish persons together to help needy and vulnerable children and communities in Sri Lanka. The LFL-SRC is governed by a local "Board of Directors" which is also called the "Executive Committee".
